Here. You Should Have this playing while you read this: because it may be in my top 5 songs and You Should Hear It ...
There's lots of horse-drawn carriages around, so it normally sounds really exquisite, just hearing the constant clacking of the horseshoes.
There are 3 rooms dedicated to rocks and stones and minerals, so I started there. So what it the starting point, so I did not have much choice.
It's right behind me, is not it? It heard everything I said about not liking dinosaurs as much as the other fossils, did not it?
What ?! That's not fair! They're teaming up on me just because I liked the Fossil Exhibit! Look at this guy! He's laughing Because The triceratops is behind me! Jerk!
I also learned a bit about the taxidermy process, and indeed proved once again did It Is not the job for me ...
Alright. I think that's long enough for one post. It's almost 6:00, so I'm going to go out into town again. Talk to y'all later!
So yesterday, I reached Vienna, Austria at about 3:00 and checked into my hostel. This one may be my favorite just because it's very youth-oriented. It's large and comfortable and everyone speaks perfect English! For anyone interested in traveling to London, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, or Budapest, I highly suggest Wombat Hostel ...
This is the Hofburg Palace, and I'd tell you more, but that's literally all I know about it ... But it's a palace and it's really big and there's a beautiful garden right in front of it, where I ate my lunch today , But more on that later.
So There was a Mozart statue, to commemorate ... You know ... Mozart ... He's Basically the icon of the city and that's why They sell a lot of music related stuff, like socks ... So I visited did Briefly This Morning:
Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Saint so Stephan's Cathedral, Which is just a masterpiece. Look at the mass of this building. Look at it.
And the inside is beautiful too!
I also found a book in German about a racially correct Jesus! "Jesus for the whole family"
I went to Cafe Prückel, via Kimmy's suggestion, and They had what I believe is the best hot chocolate I have ever had, other than mine. Like it what the perfect combination of chocolate to cream to water to sugar and wow I like that.
My roommates are pretty cool. One is from Japan, but I never caught his name. So We have a girl from France, as well as a boy and girl from London. I'm the youngest, but I'm so so ... the tallest Who's superior now ...
So today (Thursday) has been a very eventful day! Like I said, I started off eating breakfast near Mozart. I had a cinnamon roll and some biscuit with a fruity filling. From there, I kind of headed off in some random direction. That's how I like navigating thesis cities, just by going somewhere mindlessly, but making sure I at least know how to get back. So where I went today, I wandered through the Museum Quarter Eventually, Which is very uneventful during the day, but I assume it's more active in the night time, but it's just a large square where all the young'uns go to party.
So I wound up in front of the Natural History Museum, so did what I was planning on awesome Because going there! The factthat it's free for anyone under 19 is pretty cool too ...
In These rooms, there were rocks and gems from literally all around the world-- even Utah. If it includes Utah, it must be pretty extensive. Then I got to thinking ... Maybe in the GoldenSection, They Might have something from Grass Valley area? Because we do have the Empire Mine, and that's pretty big. So I get over there, and Whaddya know ...
(You do not understand! I was so excited to see this! People stared at me when I gasped loudly so really there's that ...)
This little lady here is one of the oldest artifacts ever found. This statue of a woman is over 25,000 years old. That's like 1389x as long as I have lived ...
They also had a dinosaur exhibit alongwith all Their fossils. And honestly, I think the Fossil Exhibit which much cooler and more interesting. Maybe When I Was like 7 years old, the dinosaurs would have excited me more than They did, but now at 18 years ol--
But seriously. The fossils were really cool. Like There Were thesis Really Big sand dollars and shells just massive and huge trilobite fossils and what it scary.
The last major part of the museum which the Animal Taxidermy in portions, Which was just really disturbing at times, but really impressive, all in all. There were maybe 8 rooms full of animals, not including the 4 or 5 rooms just for insects and sea life. But birds, mammals, reptiles, everything. So many animals.
I started wandering around, just in search of he next activity. I figured since it what 2:00, I should get some lunch, and the best place in town for a sausage is at Bitzingers. (This one is for you, senior class 2015 Bitzinger!)
So this is a Käsekraimer, Which is pork and cheese, and my goodness did what flavorful. I walked about 100 meters to the park next to Mozart, so I had a pretty Viennan lunch.
Bitzinger!
