But back to Slovenia:
Like I said before, Monday was a lazy day where I did almost nothing. I picked a lot of blackberries and Jože and I hiked down in a canyon to a small lake. But that was about it for Monday.
Tuesday came around, and it was another rainy morning so I stayed at the house. In the early afternoon, when it cleared up, I did go and walk around for about 2 miles, so that was pretty nice.
At about 5:00, we headed over to a cave! I guess that there are over 10,000 caves under Slovenia, and on average, 3 more are discovered every month. I mean, those could all be small caves, but still.
It was a super cool cave-- literally!-- Because of simple physics, the hot air rises to the higher rooms in the cave, so the entrance to the cave is named the Ice Cave, because it's about 6 Celcius, or about 44F. That's pretty chilly.
I mean, there's not much to talk about. They're caves, so the stories are all pretty similar. Rivers carve the bottom of the cave through time, then find a new path. Water seeps through the forest ground and provides minerals inside the water droplets that then collect over time and create massive monuments inside the cave.
Later, after we returned and ate some delicious Apple Strudel, Jože called me downstairs because his father wanted to give me something and it's just... It's the most amazing present...
There's a small clock on a globe inside of this gyroscope and... It's so amazing.
On Wednesday morning when I left the Špehar home for the last time, there were some tears probably. But here I am now, and I'm great!
There was nearly any text in this post, but lots of pictures, so... I'm about to make another post about Vienna, so that's cool.
