Sorry for lack of posts

Sorry. I know I haven't updated my blog in a while. I either don't have the time, or when I do, I forget. Heck, I even forget to write in my journal on some days. So here's the breakdown for my last 5 days:
Tuesday June 30:
It's so nice to sleep in a real bed for once In a long time...
Andrés and I walked around Logroño a lot today, until it got too warm. He showed me much of the city, the important bridges, statues, etc. his adorable dog Kobai tolerates me, but this is a dog known for not liking any of Andrés’s friends, so I guess I'm cool enough for him.

We got some ice cream around 5:00 and walked the dog to a park. Kobai is a real cutie, that's for sure.
Andrés and I got back around 8:00 and just lounged around until dinner, where we had shishkebabs and Spanish Ham. (Btw much better than American ham…)

Wednesday July 1:
Congratulations USA Women's World Cup team! Finals, here we come! (I can't actually watch any of the games, because they are on at 1am here…)
We didn't really do much this morning and early afternoon. We walked around Logroño a bit more, so that was… Warm…
At 5:00, Andrés’s dad Carlos came to pick both of us up and took us around La Rioja. We went to a really old winery, and learned about its history.

Eventually, we tried some of the wine, where I discovered, once again, that I am no fan of wine. It was much, much too strong. After that, we visited another, newer winery that doubled as a five star hotel. It looked super funky:

We ventured over to a very old castle, practically in ruins except for one tower still standing. It was pretty cool.

And then we went to dinner. The food was good, but there was a limited menu, so I ended up getting Pasta Soup (which I guess is a thing??) and then pork and peppers. I'm not sure why I went so long in my life without liking peppers… Also, for dessert, we had a melon slice. It was quite large. Like a foot long. Super good.
Carlos is a pretty cool person. I like him a lot.

I'm actually going to split this in two, because the next few days were spent in Madrid, so I'll make that a separate post.
